Clout.you (“Clout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) transforms your voice into influence. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit clout.you, use our products and services, or interact with us in any way.

By using our services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


1) Who we are & scope

This Policy applies to information processed by Clout in connection with:

  • Our websites, apps, and portals (collectively, the “Services”)
  • Our client engagements (e.g., content refinement from audio/text)
  • Our marketing activities and communications

Controller: For most activities, Clout is the data controller. For enterprise projects where we process content strictly under a client’s instructions, Clout may act as a processor.

C. Information from third parties

  • Partners & vendors: analytics providers, ad networks, payment processors.
  • Integrations (optional): if you connect external tools (e.g., cloud storage), we access data per your authorization.

3) How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and improve the Services: account setup, authentication, content processing (e.g., transcription, drafting), personalization, troubleshooting.
  • Research & development: quality assurance, product improvements, model evaluation, and safety testing.
  • Communications: service notices, onboarding, feature updates, marketing (you can opt out at any time).
  • Security & fraud prevention: detect, investigate, and prevent abuse or violations.
  • Compliance: meet legal, regulatory, tax, and contractual obligations.

Model training: We do not use your audio, transcripts, or generated content to train public models. We may, with your explicit permission or enterprise contract terms, use de-identified snippets to improve our private systems (quality, safety, accuracy). You can opt out: privacy@clout.you.


4) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to deliver the Services.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for product improvement, security, and limited marketing balanced against your rights.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where required (e.g., certain cookies/marketing).
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) where applicable.

5) How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share:

  • Service providers / processors: hosting, storage, transcription, analytics, customer support, payment processing—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • Enterprise customers: if your account is provisioned by an organization, certain admins may access your workspace data per their policies.
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: merger, acquisition, financing, or sale; information may be transferred as part of the transaction with appropriate protections.
  • With your direction: if you request or authorize sharing (e.g., connected integrations).

6) Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to deliver Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Audio & project files: retained per your workspace settings or contract; you may request deletion.
  • Account data: retained while your account is active and as required for legal/regulatory reasons thereafter.

7) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to:

  • Keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure performance
  • Understand usage to improve user experience
  • Support marketing only with appropriate consent where required
    You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function without essential cookies.

8) Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access: know what data we hold about you
  • Correct: fix inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete: request deletion, subject to legal limits

California (CPRA)

    We do not sell personal information. “Sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising is limited and subject to opt-out where applicable.

EEA/UK Supervisory authority

You can lodge a complaint with your local authority (e.g., ICO in the UK). We encourage contacting us first so we can resolve your concern.


9) Children’s privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact privacy@clout.you for deletion.


10) International data transfers

We may transfer, store, and process information in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) and implement technical and organizational measures to protect data.


11) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information (encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, least-privilege access). No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and notify us of any suspected unauthorized activity.


12) AI, audio, and third-party voices

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload audio that includes third-party voices and for providing any required consents or notices. If we receive a valid takedown or privacy request relating to third-party content, we may remove or restrict it.


13) Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

Our Services do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Where legally required, we will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for opt-out of certain data sharing.


14) Third-party links and services

Our Services may link to third-party sites or allow integrations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.


15) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via the Services or email.
